From the beautiful Fermanagh Lakelands of Ireland, Belleek Pottery if entirely crafted by hand. Majella McManus, from Lisnaskea, Co Fermanagh has been working with Belleek Pottery in design for 5 years. Majella is the designer of the wonderful 2011 Edition Piece, the Basketweave Covered Pot. Her artistic background began in St. Comghall's Secondary School, Lisnaskea. Having always had a love for art and crafts, it was there that Majella discovered her love for Ceramics. This led her to follow on her dream, having studied a range of different Art& Design courses over 7 years, completing her study at University of Ulster, Belfast with a BA Hons in Fine & Applied Arts.
Majella has designed many Belleek pieces from Christmas Ornaments, Vases and Trinket Boxes to name a few.
Working in Belleek, Majella sees it as an exciting opportunity to learn and perfect her skills working with the medium of clay and plaster to create beautifully designed pieces.
