Sootheze was founded in 1995 by a massage therapy student and her husband in their garage.
Sootheze was originally known for Hot & Cold Therapy Pads and Buckwheat Hull Pillows.
In 1998, the first Toasty Bear was introduced. People loved the idea of having a cute stuffed animal that you could heat up in the microwave and either snuggle with or put around your neck to help with discomfort or pain, much like any other hot/cold pack, but with a cuter design.
In 2002, the Christine James Home Comfort Collection was introduced, including products for home therapy and spa products.
In 2005, the original creators/owners sold the company to another husband and wife couple who were experienced in the medical field as well
as marketing and sales.
