Thirstystone is manufactured in the Tucson, Arizona, using the most environmentally safe methods to extract the sandstone boulders to be made into coasters.
The sandstone boulders are drilled using a large bit that extracts about 120 4"round stone cores from each boulder. The sandstone cores are then sliced into 3/8" disks. The edges are then smoothed and sanded and the stones are then sorted into matching sets. No two sets of coasters are exactly alike.
After each coaster is made, its shipped off to a facility in Texas were the coasters are printed on, using technology made by Thirstystone.
Then each set of coasters are packaged, labeled and shipped out.
