Rays are related to sharks and have a skeleton made of soft, flexible cartilage instead of bone. Their long, wing-like fins and flat bodies are perfect for "flying" along the ocean floor. They are found in shallow coastal waters. Eagle rays are found along the coasts of the Atlantic and Mediterranean waters.
