Rock Doves (Columba livia) are commonly seen in cities across the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Native to Europe and Asia, they were brought to America by Europeans. While Rock Doves are city birds throughout their New World range, they were originally residents of wild and rocky mountainous regions of the Old World. Rock Doves eat seeds, nuts and fruits. In cities, they are often fed breadcrumbs.
