Great news for all bird enthusiasts! Wild Republic has entered into a partnership with the National Audubon Society to create a line of realistic-looking plush beanbag birds. This partnership also includes the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, which has provided the authentic sounds for each bird to further add to the realism of these plush toys. Ages 3+.

This Killdeer's call was recorded June 16, 1990, in North Dakota, and was a flight call.

During the winter, Killdeer are found on riverbanks, fields, and open grassy areas across the southern half of North America. During summer months, they can be found as far north as Canada and Alaska. Their long legs allow them to run quickly across the ground and catch fast-moving insects. Killdeer parents will pretend they have a broken wing or are injured in order to lure predators away from their nest.
