New for this year from Spode is World of Christmas, a fun and whimsical collection of holiday entertaining and decorating items inspired by the original Spode Christmas Tree design of 1938. The 2005 theme for World of Christmas is "Decorating the Tree," and the collection includes annual items, entertaining sets, figural pieces, and ornaments.

The first of four annual caroling designs is 2005's "Deck the Halls." This beautiful mug features an illustration of three Victorian-era young ladies decorating a Christmas tree. On the bottom of the mug is a special backstamp detailing the origins of caroling and "Deck the Halls."
