Q. When does a zebra have spots instead of stripes? A. When it's a zebra
shark! (Or at least when it's an
adult zebra shark, anyway.) This 20" spotted plush zebra shark from Wild Republic is a real softie and a cuddly friend. This brown and white spotted shark with a pink mouth and a long tail would make a great gift for any shark lover.
About the Zebra Shark
Zebra sharks are found in the tropical Pacific and Indian Oceans, particularly around coral reefs. They grow to lengths of over 11 feet and are usually observed resting or swimming along the sandy bottom. Baby zebra sharks have a striped, zebra-like appearance, but adults are spotted, like leopards! These slow-moving sharks are considered harmless to humans. They eat small fish and crustaceans, including crabs and shrimp.
