About the Burmese Python
Burmese pythons are found in Burma, Malaysia, and Indonesia and are one of the largest snakes in the world. Many can reach lengths of 10 to 14 feet, and some grow even larger. They can often be found in open fields or in the water -- Burmese pythons are excellent swimmers! Pythons belong to a family of snakes that also includes boa constrictors. They hunt a variety of mammals and birds, squeezing their prey until it can't breathe.
