About the African Boomslang
The African Boomslang is found in dry regions of northern Africa. Varying in color from bright green to shades of brown, boomslangs are typically seen in trees and shrubs. Most of their diet consists of birds, eggs, frogs, and small mammals, which die quickly under the boomslang's toxic venom. When threatened, boomslangs expand their throats to appear larger and more threatening.
