The Blue Colonel pattern from Spode is a Chinese design from the 15th Century. It's pattern name is from Colonel Alfred Copeland, and amateur archeologist who excavated a fragment of this stunning pattern on the Silk Route in Persia in the 1870's. The white fine bone china is graced with ornate blue flowers and finished with 22 karat gold.
