Both the Shamrock Sauceboat and Tray were originally introduced as part of the Shamrock Dinner set, which was largely designed by Fred Slater following his arrival to Belleek in 1893. Archivists believ that the inspiration for this piece may come from early Belleek earthenware shapes.
