Great news for all bird enthusiasts! Wild Republic has entered into a partnership with the National Audubon Society to create a line of realistic looking plush beanbag birds. This partnership also includes The Cornell Lab of Ornithology, who has provided the authentic sounds for each bird to further add to the realism of these plush toys.

Each bird's lifelike design and impeccable detailing is the result of input from Audubon, where each bird is painstakingly examined for the maximum level of perfection in a five-inch plush toy. The authentic bird songs in the plush toy provided by Cornell represent hours, months, even years of in-the-field work conducted by expert recordists.

Red-winged Blackbirds are found throughout much of the United States and Canada. They are common in large flocks in open fields and marshes and forage in nearby orchards and woodlands. Males have distinctive red patches on their wings that are displayed in the spring to attract a mate and warn away rival males. Females build nests out of leaves and grasses. Red-winged Blackbirds feed on insects, fruits, seeds and grains.
