Val Skinner has been an LPGA Touring Professional since 1983. She is also known for her humanitarian efforts to fight breast cancer. She is the chairperson of the the Val Skinner Foundation, which is the host of an annual charitable golf tournament known as LIFE (LPGA Pros In the Fight to Eradicate breast cancer).
A portion of the proceeds will support breast cancer research and education through the Val Skinner Foundation. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and The Cancer Institute of New Jersey are the primary research recipients of funds raised by the LIFE events.
