The Percheron hails from the area of La Perche in southern Normandy. It is one of the oldest draft breeds, with a history tracing at least to the early Middle Ages. "Lyn," a 17.3 hand breeding stallion has the characteristic grey coat coloring, minimal feathering of the lower legs, and the easy disposition of the breed. Breyer Traditional-sized horse is scaled to 1/9th the real size.
